Alienor Massenet

"These raw materials have an almost mystical dimension"

Aliénor Massenet is a perfumer who defies categorization. A self-described "dyslexic dreamer" who finds sanctuary in her "glass bubble" of creation, she has forged a career defined by independence and long-standing loyalty—most notably her role as the lead nose for Memo Paris since its inception in 2007. Despite not following the traditional path of a chemist, Massenet is a master of captives and new technologies, blending technical innovation with a deeply spiritual connection to ingredients like myrrh, labdanum, and vanilla.

Her style is one of bold contrasts and "unlikely alliances"—famously pairing sandalwood with pumpkin or crafting "vertical" and "horizontal" scent structures that she visualizes as geometric figures. Outside the lab, her benevolence shines through her olfactory workshops for accident victims, proving that for Massenet, scent is a tool for healing and human connection as much as it is a luxury art form.

Massenet continues to be a prolific force for both high-fashion houses like Rabanne and niche leaders like Memo Parisand Hermetica. Latest Creations: Rabanne Million Gold for Her Pure Diamonds (2026), Memo Paris Odéon (2025), Maison Margiela Jazz Club 2025, and Memo Paris Red Island.
