Despite not following the traditional path of a chemist, Massenet is a master of captives and new technologies, blending technical innovation with a deeply spiritual connection to ingredients like myrrh, labdanum, and vanilla.

Her style is one of bold contrasts and "unlikely alliances"—famously pairing sandalwood with pumpkin or crafting "vertical" and "horizontal" scent structures that she visualizes as geometric figures.
