Chris Maurice (Christian Carbonnel) is a titan of the niche world, a perfumer whose bloodline is inextricably linked to the history of fragrance. As a director of Carbonnel S.A. in Spain, he represents the third generation of a dynasty that pioneered the introduction of Western techniques to the Middle East. His father, the "King of Oriental Perfumery," was instrumental in establishing Dubai as a fragrance hub, and Chris has inherited this mastery over oud, saffron, incense, and amber.
Known for his "bold and generous" dosing, Maurice is a master of sillage and longevity. He doesn't just create scents; he engineers experiences that bridge European refinement with the opulent power of Arabian perfumery. Whether he is working with high-luxury powerhouses like Xerjoff or niche favorites like Nishane, his signature is unmistakable: high-quality raw materials, complex woody structures, and a fearless approach to experimentation.
