Collection: Anne Flipo

Anne Flipo

"To create a fragrance I use all of my five senses. It's very much a brainstorming experience. I can visualise in my mind some odours and after that I play with the idea through flavours, textures, smells and even sounds"

Anne Flipo is an elite "Master Perfumer" at IFF, a title reserved for the most technically proficient and artistically visionary creators in the world. Born in 1961 into a farming family in northern France, her olfactory foundation was built on the smells of wheat, beetroot, and the gardens of her childhood. This upbringing instilled a rigorous self-discipline and a deep reverence for nature that defines her work today.

Her creative process is uniquely meditative. Between 2 and 4 o'clock each afternoon, Flipo enters a state of "presence and absence"—a protective mental circle where ideas flow without external interruption. Only after this orchestrated meditation does she translate her visions into the "well-formed formulas" that have become global icons. Her style is a sophisticated blend of elegance and bold innovation, characterized by her self-proclaimed "love, love, love" for neroli and a mastery of green, floral, and woody contrasts.

As one of the most prolific noses for Rabanne, YSL, and Givenchy, Flipo’s 2025–2026 releases showcase her ability to reinvent modern classics with ambery and intense "Couture" facets: YSL Libre Vanille Couture (2025), Rabanne Olympéa Elixir, Givenchy Irresistible Nectar, and Jo Malone Midnight Musk & Amber 2025.
